Welcome to the story behind Kissing Kittens.
It all started seven years ago, when my daughter and I moved into an apartment in Ibiza that came with one beautiful abandoned cat.
She’d been left behind by her previous owners and had nowhere to go. Her name was Chufi, and she soon became part of our little family.
At the time, I had no idea she would completely change the direction of my life in Ibiza.
Not long afterwards, we discovered a tiny litter of abandoned kittens in the forest behind our apartment. They had been disturbed after work began in the woodland and desperately needed help.
That rescue introduced me to the incredible network of volunteers dedicated to helping Ibiza’s abandoned cats. It was the first time I truly understood the scale of the problem—and just how many cats and kittens needed rescuing every year.
What began with one abandoned cat slowly became a life dedicated to rescue.
Today, I share my home with seven rescue cats, foster vulnerable kittens, and care for a hidden colony of stray cats in the Ibiza hills.
Sadly, Chufi is no longer with us. She rests peacefully in the very forest where this journey began, but every rescue since has been part of the legacy she left behind.

My Rescue Journey
From that moment on, there was no turning back.
One rescue quickly became another. I found myself fostering vulnerable kittens, bottle-feeding newborns, helping rehome cats, and working alongside the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time to helping Ibiza’s abandoned cats.
Every rescue taught me something new—not just about caring for animals, but about patience, resilience, compassion and hope.
Over the years, rescue has become far more than something I do. It’s become a way of life. The cats have shaped who I am, given me purpose during difficult times, and reminded me that even the smallest acts of kindness can change the life of these beautiful beings.
Meet My Rescue Family
Meet the seven rescue cats who share my home and my heart.
Every one of them was rescued here in Ibiza. Most were foster kittens who completely stole my heart and never left. Rocco and Bug were rescued from a farm during lockdown, while Tommy, Barbara, Monkey, Minnie and Ziggy all began their journey with me as foster kittens before becoming permanent members of the family.
Each of them has their own unique personality and story, and every single one has helped shape the person I am today. I honestly can’t imagine my life without them.
They’re more than just my pets, they’re my family, and they’re the heart of everything
Finding Peace & Healing in Nature With My Cats
What began as a few minutes outside soon became our daily ritual. One by one, they follow me into the forest, excited for our walks together. It’s our special place.
Watching them taught me so much. They stretch, they rest, they soak up the sunshine, they stay present, they instinctively know how to slow down, and without realising it, they taught me to do the same.
Now I make time to walk, ground myself, breathe deeply, feel the sun on my face and simply be. The forest has become my sanctuary, and my cats have been my greatest teachers.
They’ve taught me that healing doesn’t always come from finding all the answers. Sometimes it comes from slowing down, connecting with nature, and appreciating the simple moments around us.
Why Kissing Kittens?
Why is the brand called Kissing Kittens?
People often ask me where the name Kissing Kittens came from.
The truth is, it wasn't something I carefully planned or spent weeks trying to think of.
As the years went by and I fostered more and more kittens, I realised my happiest moments were always the simplest ones. Sitting with a tiny kitten asleep on my lap, cuddling them, telling them they were safe, telling them they were loved, and showering them with kisses.
It wasn't just the foster kittens either. Every rescue cat who shares my home gets exactly the same love every single day. Talking to them, cuddling them and reminding them they're loved has simply become part of who I am.
Looking back, I can see that something else was happening too.
As I was helping the cats heal and learn to trust again, they were quietly helping me heal too. It felt like a kind of mutual healing, although I didn't have those words for it back then. I just knew that being with the cats brought me a sense of peace, purpose and connection that I'd never experienced before.
By then, I already knew my mission. I wanted to help more cats and kittens.
Then one day, completely out of the blue, the words Kissing Kittens popped into my head.
I wasn't looking for a brand name. In fact, it felt as though the name had found me.
It perfectly captured what had become my favourite part of every day, and from that moment on I couldn't imagine calling it anything else.
The mission came first.
The name came next.
Then everything else grew around it.
Today, Kissing Kittens is still very much a work in progress. It has grown into far more than a brand. It's become a community built on love, compassion, mutual healing, peace and purpose.
Every product I create, every story I share and every person who joins the Kissing Kittens community helps keep that mission alive—helping more cats while inspiring people to discover a calmer, more purposeful life through the beautiful connection between people and animals.
